CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

5.20.10

1 Samuel 26-28:25
John 11:1-54

11:14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him."

John - Notice they saw Lazarus's death as a tragedy, Jesus saw it as an opportunity for GOD to be glorified!

Psalm 117:1-2
Proverbs 15:22-23

22 Without counsel, plans go awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

John -It is important to receive counsel, if not you plans will go awry, but with a multitude of counselors - (to consult together, exchange counsel, deliberate, counsel together) plans are ESTABLISHED.

  1. John 11:14 The only thing that separated Jesus from Lazarus was time and in the allotted time Lazarus died. The first thing that Jesus heard upon entering the town of this loved brother was"If you had been here my brother wouldn't have died";that is why he waited. Not even Christ will interfere with God's timing, since in it is the key to God's glory.Perhaps this is the only thing seperating you from your next miracle.
