CCI One Year Bible Reading

8.11.10

Nehemiah 1-3:14
1 Corinthians 7:1-24

7 21 Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it.22 For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.

John - We are the Lord’s freedman and Christ’s slave, free and constrained. Only now we are free from the bondage of SIN but constrained by the LOVE of the one who saved us!

Psalm 31:19-24
Proverbs 21:4

21 4 A haughty look, a proud heart,
And the plowing of the wicked are sin.

John - To be self exalted, focused on things through pride and even you work (plowing - tilled ground) is consider sin, the root affects the fruit.
