1035 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

John - We have NEED of confidence, it keeps us going... it is gas for the car or wind for our sails... without it we cannot move, it give us the ability to have endurance in this race!

2713 Take the garment of him who is surety for a stranger, And hold it in pledge when he is surety for a seductress.

John - This give an example when you have loaned someone who but up his garment as security for a stranger or seductress... much different than when you have loaned to someone for their person needs..
