John - The amazing work of God shows that he put the kingdom of God in earthen vessels... divinity inside humanity, and this shows all the more that it is GOD and not us who does great things!

22 12 The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, But He overthrows the words of the faithless.

John - God has design life to bless those who love His words... and overthrow those who speak faithless words

John - Where the Spirit of the Lord is.... if in you you have freedom... When Gods Spirit comes into someone the veil is taken away and they can see an be seen in a new way.

And the rod of his anger will fail.
9 He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor.

John - He who has a GENEROUS EYE - good, rich, valuable in estimation with the idea of it showing up in your attitude.

2 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

John - We are perceived differently by different people to the saved they smell or experience LIFE, but to the unsaved we remind them of the death to come. We are Christ reminders in the earth!

227 The rich rules over the poor,
And the borrower is servant to the lender.

John - In this scripture we can see having resources and lending those give great influence, which can be use for good or bad.

John - We forgive so that Satan does not take advantage of us for we know not giving forgiveness is one of his traps.

4111 By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me.

John - David said he knew GOD was please with him because his enemies don’t win OVER him... If we have God with us we should win over our enemies!

Proverbs 22:5-6

22 6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

John - A child needs to be trained in the way he SHOULD go, this means we need a vision from the Lord of what our children are destined to accomplish!

Are riches and honor and life.

John - The Lord makes all people and gives them according to their ability and His plan, through humility and respect for God we find abundance!

John - We prepare with all our might for events, but the victory belongs to the LORD!

John - The Lord will HELP and DELIVER... because THEY TRUST Him..

2127 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination;

John - The wicked might attempt to sacrifice but it is still seen as an abomination.

John - The LORD is where our security lies not in our performance..

John - Here the bible describes what kills the lazy man... his DESIRE... not that he desires but WHAT he desires...

John - A mans mouth is like the gate to the city, protect it and you will save yourself much trouble.

John - God has made us with much diversity of ministries, gifts, and activities we are to be doing but He is Lord of them all.

1221 He who follows righteousness and mercy
Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
22 A wise man scales the city of the mighty,
And brings down the trusted stronghold.

John - We are to FOLLOW righteousness and mercy but then we will find LIFE and HONOR as well as righteousness when we do this! Do not forget the daily benefits of obeying God!

John - Mishandling of the Lords suppers is the reason the bible says many are weak and sick among you, and many have passed away.

Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the LORD be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

John - God has pleasure in the prosperity (peace, quiet, tranquillity, contentment) of His servant.

21 20 There is desirable treasure,
And oil in the dwelling of the wise,
But a foolish man squanders it.

John - treasure - properly stored up savings of food, oil, especially gold and silver.

John - The unfaithful will receive the reward for their choices just like the just. We do not just make our choices, our choices make us.

John - good thing - prosperous, happy, valuable, excellent and rich.

21 13 Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, Will also cry himself and not be heard.

John - Lord help us see, hear and respond to the cry of the hurting around us... you respond to us as we respond to them...

John - Pretty clear.

21 5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

John - The other side of diligent is hasty, one leads to plenty the other to poverty.

John - We are the Lord’s freedman and Christ’s slave, free and constrained. Only now we are free from the bondage of SIN but constrained by the LOVE of the one who saved us!

Proverbs 21:4

21 4 A haughty look, a proud heart,
And the plowing of the wicked are sin.

John - To be self exalted, focused on things through pride and even you work (plowing - tilled ground) is consider sin, the root affects the fruit.

Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

John - Our first response is to think God wants sacrifice, but it is MORE acceptable to DO... Do righteousness and justice.... Do first.

John - Note the distinction between people of the world and anyone NAMED a brother, by what they claim about their faith make a difference!

Proverbs 21:1-2

21 1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD,
Like the rivers of water;
He turns it wherever He wishes.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.

John - we all think our decisions are right, but God look at our heart and makes the decision, only God knows the WHOLE truth.

John - Gods people not only are walking in strong words but in HIS power, let Gods kingdom be on earth as it is in heaven!

3011 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

John - God can turn what we have into what HE wants, water to wine, mourning to dancing, frustration to anticipation!

Proverbs 20:28-30

20 30 Blows that hurt cleanse away evil,
As do stripes the inner depths of the heart.

John - The blows (bruises) that hurt... (are used by God, even though maybe meant for evil) to cleanse evil by (bad, evil, wicked (ethically)

John - Let no one DECEIVE himself. This is something we all must be mindful of, we can easily tell ourselves something over and over until we believe it, the thing about being deceived is you don’t know you are deceived.

27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD,
Searching all the inner depths of his heart.

John - God works with us on the inside through the Holy Spirit to bring us to His desired end.

John - We must remember that the NATURAL man does not receive SPIRITUAL things... they seem foolish to Him. The spiritual person JUDGES all things... he see’s everything, yet NO ONE can rightly judge him! So if you live spiritually NO ONE can judge you 100% accurately but God.

Psalm 28:1-9
Proverbs 20:24-25

20 24 A man’s steps are of the LORD;
How then can a man understand his own way?

John - God thankfully you KNOW my steps, this is reassuring when it seems like thing dont go the way we plan. If you ordain our steps I would have to fully understand you to know what your plans are with my life!

127 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.

John - God chose the FOOLISH things of the world to shame the WISE. God chose weak to SHAME mighty, God chose the base (ignoble, coward, mean, base, of no family, that is: low born) things so that NO FLESH, no human can glory in His presence based on what they have accomplish, if we accomplish anything... GOD DID IT!

Psalm 27:7-14
Proverbs 20:22-23

2022 Do not say, “I will recompense evil”;
Wait for the LORD, and He will save you.
23 Diverse weights are an abomination to the LORD, And dishonest scales are not good.

John - WAIT for the Lord... this is the application of trusting the Lord.... and the outcome is presented in the scripture... HE WILL SAVE YOU!

John - Paul knew what he was sent for, to preach the gospel, and he knew it was not with the knowledge he had gotten while trained by the leaders of his time. Paul shared Christ in a passionate, personal way and many, many were saved.

Psalm 27:1-6
Proverbs 20:20-21

2020 Whoever curses his father or his mother,
His lamp will be put out in deep darkness.
21 An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning Will not be blessed at the end.

John - An inheritance that is gained hastily... This give us some insight into the fact if we leave an inheritance we would use wisdom in how they receive it so we do not hurt the ones we intended to bless.

John - To be wise in what is good you have to study and practice GOOD, the more you stay away, don’t study or imitate evil, the better your experiences in life.

2019 He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets;
Therefore do not associate with one who flatters with his lips.

John - Tail bearer - goes about for the sake of slandering.. Be wise, do not associate with, be around, spend time with one who entices, persuades and continually uses his lips but not his life..

2018 Plans are established by counsel;

John - We can plan but when we get counsel they are established.

John - Paul said, “I have purposed, made it my aim...” Paul pointed his life and energy in a direction that he believed in... so should we!

25 12 Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

John - The man that fears the Lord shall DWELL, LIVE, and ABIDE in prosperity...

20 14 “ It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; But when he has gone his way, then he boasts.

John - Words of knowledge are JEWELS just like priceless stones..
