Ezra 8:21-9:15
1 Corinthians 5:1-13

59 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not meanwith the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

John - Note the distinction between people of the world and anyone NAMED a brother, by what they claim about their faith make a difference!

Psalm 31:1-8
Proverbs 21:1-2

21 1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD,
Like the rivers of water;
He turns it wherever He wishes.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.

John - we all think our decisions are right, but God look at our heart and makes the decision, only God knows the WHOLE truth.
