ReplyDelete“Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here? 7 Now why will you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?
i hope i am never the one that discourages my brethren from fulfilling their destiny...God had already given the isrealites so much...and still there were only 2 out of 12 that believed!! and the crazy thing is that they were chosen from their tribes as men of God that believed...
Luke 5
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
sooooooo me!!!!! i want to be the one that doesn't question when He speaks a word to me...i want to be the one casting the net on the other side and anticipating His way! Peter's disbelief brings me to my knees. I feel like that is even what I would say to Him now..."Depart from ME Oh Lord, for i am a sinful man...." how great though that Jesus encourages Him and tells him right after his confession that he will be a fisher of men now..i wonder what peter's personality and attitude was like in person...God gave him the commission to catch souls...
