CCI One Year Bible Reading

6.9.10

1 Kings 5-6:38
Acts 7:1-29

7:9 “And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him 10 and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

John - "But God was with him and delivered him....." This is the desire of every man and woman that God would BE WITH THEM, and deliver us, and this is the promise the Cross of Calvary provided, GOD WITH US!

7:20 At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; and he was brought up in his father’s house for three months.

John - "Moses was born and was well pleasing to God...." What an amazing truth...Moses was born, had done nothing, and pleased God... this is a picture of God looking on the heart and knowing us completely!

Psalm 127:1-5

127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

John - "He gives His beloved sleep.." what a blessing SLEEP is.. ask anyone who hasnt been able to sleep well, it is a GIFT and it comes from GOD, let your situation know that GOD has promised you sleep..

Proverbs 16:28-30

29 A violent man entices his neighbor,
And leads him in a way that is not good.

John - Violent (wrong, cruelty, injustice) try to ENTICE others, what for the enticement of these kind of man!

  1. Acts 7:9 Joseph was placed into a bad situation and a hard place, yet the glory that was to be was inside of him.Neither Joseph's environment nor his circumstances destroyed the gift, yet gave place for it to operate.As hard as it was, Joseph was right in the middle of his place of destiny.
