2820 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the LORD shall be my God. 22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”
John – Interesting that a couple of generations later he is still sounding a lot like Abraham…
2920 So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her.
John – It is amazing how love changes everything when it comes to waiting, think how Jacob must have value a relationship with Rachel!
Matthew 9:18-38
929 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
John – According to what you believe, hope, expect, trust…WOW may God give is he faith to believe, it is the key to miracles… YOUR FAITH .. He said…
Psalm 11:1-7
11 7 For the LORD is righteous,
He loves righteousness;
His countenance beholds the upright.
John – God loves righteousness… when we Fall in love with Jesus and he changes our nature…. Then when He looks at us what does he see? Righteousness (He loves that!)
Proverbs 3:11-12
311 My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,
Nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
John – I think it is easier to focus on the correction than the changing of the direction the correction provides…. It is a direction correction that it harder to see…
