CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

4.21.10

Joshua 22:21-23:16

23:10 One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you.

John - With God it is not logical but SUPER NATURAL.. imagine one man chasing a 1000 men... WOW! You are a one man army.

Luke 20:27-47

20:38 For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”

John - This is important, our GOD is the God of the living, if you are with Him HE is alive.. which means you will be alive...

Psalm 89:14-37
Proverbs 13:17-19

13:17
A wicked messenger falls into trouble,
But a faithful ambassador brings health.

John - Lord, let us be faithful ambassadors... bring the GOOD NEWS, that others might receive health from YOU!

  1. Ps. 89:34 My covenant I will not break,
Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
    35 Once I have sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David:

Now that makes me want to shout Hallelujiah~!!! Praise God our King is not one that breaks covenants as if He were a man and nor does He lie when He sets His word in place! That brings me GREAT comfort!!

  3. Luke 20 The dead cease to be, but the living are those who are alive forever more.Jesue said in one place "let the dead bury their dead, but you come follow me".The dead are those who have passed away even while they are yet still breathing.

  4. Prov. 13 A messenger is one who merely carries a message or an idea, but an ambassador is one who supports and sustains the vision. The ambassador's job is the weightier of the two yet his character is what sets them apart.
