Exodus 26-27:21
Matthew 25:1-30
1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
John – The lesson I get from this passage is that FOOLS are un prepared and expect someone who is prepared to bail them out. Also interestingly enough half were prepared half were not…. Our part is preparation, Gods part is provision..
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
John – You KNEW… (not a surprise) that I (God) reap were I have not sown and gather where I have not planted… WHAT, God is an investor that expects a return on His investment, Who are we to tell God you didn’t even WORK for that return, He says you know how I AM!?!?!?!?!? WOW!! Ok…. Also God doesn’t mind receiving interest on His return… What a picture of God we will have to mediate on..
Psalm 31:1-8
3 7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy,
For You have considered my trouble;
You have known my soul in adversities,
8 And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy;
You have set my feet in a wide place.
Proverbs 8:1-11
8 11 For wisdom is better than rubies,
And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.
John – God if NOTHING compares to wisdom….. If it is the crown jewels… Please give me wisdom!!
