1618 And this she did for many days.
But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.
John - Paul got annoyed... to be troubled, displeased, offended, pained, to be worked up. It is interesting to think of Paul getting worked up, the thing the scripture continues to reveal is we all have the potential to struggle with the same things. Also in this passage when Paul commanded the spirit it says "he" came out that very hour.

26 Also, to punish the righteous is not good,
Nor to strike princes for their uprightness.
John - to punish righteousness is NOT GOOD, knowing this you can trust God only does GOOD things...

Acts 25:16-17
ReplyDeleteBut at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.
Praying and singing ushered in Paul, SIlas, and ALL THE PRISONERS around them to be released, and the guard and his household being saved.
