Exodus 37-38:31

Matthew 28:1-20

28 9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

John – The first thing Jesus says to them “REJOICE!” What a comfort not a statement of discipline but a word of WORSHIP!

28 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

John - Just a perplexing statement… they saw Him, worshiped Him…. But SOME doubted Him, we should never be surprised when someone is touched by God and then turns around and doubts Him, this was about people who were standing there with the risen LORD!

Psalm 34:11-22

34 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

John – Over and over, Gods eyes and ears are on the righteous, and HE will deliver them, He is NEAR to the broken hearted and SAVES the one with a contrite spirit! Also His FACE is against those who do evil.

Proverbs 9:9-10

9 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10 “ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

John – Knowledge of the Holy One IS understanding… We don’t have to wonder what understanding is HERE he has told us… KNOWLEDGE of God IS understanding.
