2 Kings 4:18-5:27
Acts 15:1-35
15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.
John - The word the apostles came back with is to lay upon them NO GREATER BURDEN THAN NECESSARY... again God showing He has given us a life of simplicity and freedom not rules and regulations..
Psalm 141:1-10
Proverbs 17:23
23 A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back
To pervert the ways of justice.
John - The perverting of justice for money or gain is a wickedness that has been in the life of man from the time of the fall..

2 Kings 4:18
ReplyDeletePlease run now to meet her and ask her is it well with you? your husband? your child? - And she answered, "It is well."
Elisha tried to send Gahazi, but the woman said, "As the Lord lives, I will not leave you", so he went with her.
v. 36-37 When Elisha had healed the child, and told the woman to pick up your child, she fell at his feet 1st and then picked up her child.
2 Kings 5:1 By him (Naaman) - the Lord had given victory to Syria. God even gave victory to the nations other than Israel.
2 Kings 5:10 Naaman had a chariot and horses outside Elisha's house. and Elisha sent a messenger to him to go wash in the Jordan 7 times. Naaman was mad b/c it wasn't flashy enough for him. That's It? He wanted more royal treatment and for it to be more of an experience. His expectations were let down, and he had to decide to do the mundane, stupid looking thing or not.
Acts 15:28 A child must first learn to walk before he can master running, and when he does start to run his form doesn't have to be identical to another to be a winner. The only thing thats required is the basics. If you try to make him master someone else's game when he hasn't that which is his own, he will become over burdened and begin to loose heart.
ReplyDeleteProv 17:23 The things done in secrect affect those things that are plainly seen, yet each will be exposed for what it truly is.The light exposes the darkness as well as darkness makes light noticeable.
