27 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,“ The stone which the builders rejected, Has become the chief cornerstone,”8 and “ A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.”
John - By Gods design, Jesus is either precious (and of endless value) or if you are disobedient to Gods word, he is a thing to show you that you stumble and an immovable offense!

11 The rich man is wise in his own eyes, But the poor who has understanding searches him out.
John - The rich man in pride thinks he know all, but the poor man who has Gods understanding finds him out, knows his ways.
