43 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
John - This is so often the problem... WE WORK for God and expect wages from him.... it is a debt HE OWES.... This is wrong... we OWE HIM.... and our work cannot begin to match His amazing grace and anything He gives us is out of LOVE!
Psalm 13:1-6
Proverbs 19:15-16
1915 Laziness casts one into a deep sleep,
And an idle person will suffer hunger.
16 He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But he who is careless of his ways will die.
John - By obeying God we keep our SOUL (mind, will emotions) and we know that is a MIRACLE!
