109 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John - confess is an outward expression, belief is an inward confession... these are the essentials to be saved... With your heart you believe... with your mouth you confess (agree with God about Jesus)

20 3 It is honorable for a man to stop striving(strife, controversy, contention)
Since any fool can start a quarrel.
John - There is honor in stopping controversy and foolishness is starting controversy.
