6 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
John - When we think free we think to DO WHATEVER we want... we were free from SIN not to do what we want, but to become a SLAVE to righteousness...(slave - to be under bondage, held by constraint) this is a condition we must continually revisit in our minds.

19 21 There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.
John - Plans - imaginations, inventions, thoughts NEVERTHELESS... The Lords counsel (through his people to bring about His intended end, instruments for bringing about Gods plan) WILL stand, come to pass.
