John - The spirit of bondage is what was REPLACE by the spirit of adoption... when we fear we are listening to our OLD MAN, not the new YOU in Christ.

Proverbs 19:26
19 26 He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
John - God will hold us accountable for how we treat our parents.

When it talks about parents, I think of authority in general. When I don't honor authority, it brings shame to them and me. Pr 19:26
