Isaiah 8-9:21
2 Corinthians 12:1-10
1210Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
John - We must continually change how we think of weakness, the point of our not having the strength, then in Him we have the strength!
Psalm 55:1-23
Proverbs 23:4-5
234 Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease!
5 Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.
John - Do not overwork (labour to the point of being weary) to be rich (in enriching yourself) be rich in the kingdom of God.

2 Cor. 12:10 Paul understands that when the flesh is weak, then the spirit is made strong.Trials and tribulations are to the flesh as the hammer and anvil is to iron. Pounds and shapes course correction and character in our lives.
ReplyDeleteProv. 23:4 To work to the point of exhaustion is actually praise worthy when it's for the glory and purpose of God. Jesus, the apostles and the prophets labored to that point, even death. When we weary ourselves out of self-seeking and self-gain indulgence, this always defiles and destroys the soul.
