Judges 2:10-3:31
Luke 22:14-34
22:27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.
John - These truths are SO simple YET so POWERFUL... he who serves the table is GREATER!
Psalm 92-93:5
92:13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
John - Planted in the house (home, abode, family) shall flourish in the courts (city, village, neighborhood)
Proverbs 14:1-2
14:1 The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.
John - woman you have a choice whether to build your house! or pull it down... Wise or Foolishness determines what you receive.

Judges 2:14 - Even the calamity was God keeping His covenant with them - "the hand of the Lord was against them for calamity, as the Lord has sworn to them" .
ReplyDeleteJudges 2:18 God is a God of compassion and wants to deliver us. "The Lord raised up judges for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning."
Ps. 91:14 This is an amazing promise. Here is what we get to do.
1) Because he has set his love on me.
2)Because he has known my name
and here is what He (GOD) does- "THEREFORE I WILL"
1. Deliver him (bring into security and cause to escape)
2.) Set him on High (to be to high for capture, to be high of prosperity)
3.) He shall call upon me, and I will Answer him
4.) I will be with him in trouble (straits, distress)
5.) I will deliver him (to remove , equip for war, arm for war, to make strong, brace up)
p.s. - I am realizing more in God's word that he wants to make us strong for war, not always remove us from it. It even said in Judges today that God did not drive out all the people before Israel, b/c he wanted them to learn war.
6.) I will honor him (to be abundant, gain glory)
7.) I will satisfy him with long life (this is literal life span)
8.) I will show him my salvation (welfare, prosperity, deliverance, salvation, victory)
Again, one of the fruits of being saved- VICTORY!
Praise the Lord for His Kindness!
Luke 22 The less there is of me the greater there is in me.Excessive weight kills and destroys but he who casts off restraints is able to run, even run a marathon.
ReplyDeletePsalm 92 Young tender plants must first be sheltered and protected from harsh environments. When seeded and potted in good soil, a stalk cared for by a good gardener then grows and gains strength to with stand even the most destructive forces.
ReplyDeleteProv. 14:1 The power of life and death is in the tongue. A woman that gives "undeserved" praise to her husband is like a river that flows calm and so smoothly that it relaxes the mind and sooths the soul.Oh how destructive is a stream that gushes and overflows her banks.
