CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

4.26.10

Judges 6:1-40
Luke 22:54-23:12

22:61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows,[c] you will deny Me three times.”

John - WOW I never realize just how close to Peter, Jesus was when all this was taking place.

23:12 That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

John - Even enemies can agree on something when they hate someone, don't be surprised if your enemies team up against you.

Psalm 95-96:13

96:13 before the LORD.
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.

John - Interesting He will judge the WORLD with righteousness and the peoples with HIS truth, God will accomplish His word in all that He does.

Proverbs 14:5-6

14:5 A faithful witness does not lie,
But a false witness will utter lies.
6 A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it,
But knowledge is easy to him who understands.

John - Knowledge is EASY... our world does not tell us this... But God says to him who understands.. Understands what? That knowledge comes from God and if we know Him and His ways it becomes easy.

  1. Luke 22 One of the ways the Lord reveals himself to us is by way of reveletion; he speaks a word in one season and it is revealed in another. It is when i remember that word that my life is changed. He says rain during a drought,He says food during famine and then He will say plenty during your greatest recession.

  2. Luke 23:12 Even your enemies enemy will consort against you to try and kill the vision that was already placed in you.The two of them are agreed and have a common cause and it's you; in that is the revelation of God. "And you will be hated because of me"..

  3. Psalm 96 This is one event where everyone shall receive a fair trial. What makes a fair trial a fair trial is the fact that the accused is heard, witnesses are included, evidence is material and those who rule the matter know the law and know how to interpret it.
