1 Samuel 2:22-4:22

3:²¹ Then the LORD appeared again in Shiloh. For the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

John - The Lord revealed HIMSELF by the word... We continually see the power of our words, but much greater the power of GODS words.

John 5:24-47

5: ³⁰ I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

John - I can do nothing of MYSELF, Jesus said... what a lesson for us, through God we can do things, without Him we can do NOTHING of eternal importance... Also in this scripture we can see the key to righteous judgment is to not seek your own will, but of the Father.

Psalm 106:1-12
Proverbs 14:30-31

³⁰ A sound heart is life to the body,
But envy is rottenness to the bones.
³¹ He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker,
But he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.

John - How we treat the poor either reproaches God or honors Him... So we should have MERCY on the needy!
