CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

5.13.10

1 Samuel 14:1-52

John 7:31-53

7: 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

John - When we believe the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, and out of that rivers of life will flow in our WORDS and ACTIONS!

Psalm 109:1-31

109:17 As he loved cursing, so let it come to him;
As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him.

John - David speaks to God and reveals another look at Sowing and Reaping, if you love cursing, it will come on you and if you do not DELIGHT in blessing you wont have them close to you. Lord let us DELIGHT in you and your blessing and refuse to speak against others, let you handle what others do!

Proverbs 15:5-7

15:5 A fool despises his father’s instruction,
But he who receives correction is prudent.
6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge,
But the heart of the fool does not do so.

John - The righteous has TREASURE which is wealth, riches, and abundance but in the REVENUE which is profit and gain of the wicked, they find trouble. The difference is always clear in the scriptures between the wicked and the righteous and what their life produces...

  1. John 7:38 The most refreshing resource to the thirsty is a live spring gushing out.Water that sits becomes stagnant and full of harmful deadly bacteria. We are God's messengers and disciples who bear the truth of his word and it quenches the thirst of the hearer's parched soul.

  2. Psalm 109:17 As a man sows so shall he reap; he launches his vessel of attack on the other only to have it return unto him full of the same.A man laden with sin and the thoughts of destruction for his brother eats the same again, again and again ,and he is filled with the greed of his own demise.
