CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

5.9.10

1 Samuel 5-7:17
John 6:1-21

6:6 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

John - Jesus didnt ask the question because He didnt know the answer, He asked to test him, because He already knew what He was going to do.

Psalm 106:13-31
Proverbs 14:32-33

14:32 The wicked is banished in his wickedness,
But the righteous has a refuge in his death.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding,
But what is in the heart of fools is made known.

John - The bible continues to show us both sides of the heart, wisdom resting in the heart of him who has understanding (about God and His ways) and the heart of the fool is MADE know, for everyone to see what is in it!

  1. John 6:6 When a parent prepares a meal for their children they have already planned and thought it out before they even begin to cook. The child assumes dinner will be ready and prepared at the usual customary time. When the dinner runs a little late or if it's a meal that's different than what they are accustomed to,the child wonders why.The wise parent knows, this is an opportunity to get their child to try something a little different and push them into being creative and resourceful.

  2. Prov. 14:33 We are what we eat, whether it's by thought or by ingestion. The results of what one has taken in will be revealed in how he treats his neighbor, how he lives his life and how he directs his personal wealth and income.
