CCI One Year Bible Reading

9.5.10

Ecclesiastes 10-12:14
2 Corinthians 8:1-15

83 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 4 imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

John - According to what they could do (ABILITY) but then beyond... God can give us the ability to do beyond our ability, and into HIS ability!

Psalm 49:1-20

49 16 Do not be afraid when one becomes rich,
When the glory of his house is increased;
17 For when he dies he shall carry nothing away;
His glory shall not descend after him.
18 Though while he lives he blesses himself
(For men will praise you when you do well for yourself),

John - Men praise success, God praises humility... One is eternal the other is not.

Proverbs 22:20-21

  2. Psalm 49:16-18 The greatest contributions we can make in this world cannot be stored up in banks or barns.The most valuable resources and gifts flow out of us and then back to us, this person receives glory and honor from both God and man.
