CCI Opelika One Year Bible Reading 2010

4.8.10

Deuteronomy 32:28-52
Luke 12:35-59

12:48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

John - If you are given - there is a requirement based on that, if you have things committed to you - more will be asked of you. Lord let us ask and understand when we receive!

Psalm 78:56-64
Proverbs 12:24

24 The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.

John - Diligence is a kingdom principle, if you point it toward good things they grow, if you point it toward evil things they grow. Diligence is food for tasks.

Thank you God that you know who you are, even though we sometimes forget!
"Now see that I, even I , am He, ANd there is no God BESIDES me;"
Notice that God himself did not say "like" me. As we all experience trials, hardships, circumstances, or issues - remember that we do not just serve an Awesome God, we serve THE AWESOME GOD!!! Praise be to HIm. Even He knows that. So the next time you want to sit down, give up and complain about the whole thing; remember who your father is," I, even I, am HE, And there is no God besides me;"

  2. Luke 12: 40
I can remember my Great Grandmother telling me that if you were having to get ready, you were already late. We are always in a season, and should have our lamps full of oil, our tools sharpened, and the right shoes on!( so to speak) When God calls for you to do for Him, are you ready? Financially, Physically or even greater Spiritually? Be ready, we do not know the hour He will come!!

  3. Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. 38 And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

wowie...i always want to be the one waiting for Him. He is worth waiting for when He calls and the reward is PRICELESS...always watching, listening and waiting for Him...my new motto :)

  5. Prov. 12 Either i work for my money or my money works for me.I can labor because i get to or i can because i have to; so be the diligence's creed.Diligence is freeing but laziness is a man's stronghold.
