Joshua 13-14:15

14:¹² Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”

John - This is Joseph at 85 years old! He was talking about taking the land God had promised him, Lord let us have this kind of heart at 85!

Luke 18:1-17

18:¹ Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, ² saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.

John - Jesus shared this story to show the importance of PERSISTENCE, saying even the judge who did not fear God was moved by persistence, how much more so our heavenly father.

18:¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

John - The key to this walk is humility, if you walk this way God will exalt you, if you exalt yourself... You know a humbling is coming soon..

Psalm 85:1-13
Proverbs 13:7-8

13:⁷ There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;
And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.
⁸ The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke.

John - Whatever you consider the most important in your life (your riches) you have to lay down ownership of to follow JESUS! It is a ransom for you heart.
