3.29.10
Deuteronomy 11-12:32
11:22 “For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him— 23 then the LORD will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves. 24 Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.
John - When you CAREFULLY obey God and walk in all His ways..... HE WILL DRIVE OUR and you will DISPOSSESS great and mightier things than yourself!
Luke 8:22-39
8:24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!”
Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?”
And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”
John - Jesus gets right to the point, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH? We should know here our faith is, if we through circumstances of life know where our faith is when things happen we will GO to where our faith is.... Look to where our faith is... that why it is so important to know where it is!

But she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.
John - excellent -strength, might, efficiency, wealth, arm... what descriptions of excellent the bible has!

Deut. 11 The act of following God causes me to increase greater and greater.He chooses the weak to make them strong, the poor to make them rich, the unlearned to make them wise and in this is seen the glory of God.God is working in my life in such a way that in every place he is prospering us like the Israelites, he does it in such a way i can give glory to no one other than him.
ReplyDeleteLuke 8 The disciples believed they were perishing.The raging sea collied with their faith and their hearts made the decision that destruction was inevitable.Life collides with my faith daily(it is a broken world with issues)and i must know and choose daily what God says about each.
ReplyDeleteProv. 12:4 A Godly wife is one who hears, believe trusts and obeys the Lord.She chooses life and here she is called the excellent wife. The bible records in Ehp. 5:25-27 that a husband ought to love his wife as Christ loves the church that he might sanctify and cleanse it by the washing of water by the word, that he present it to himself a glorious church; she is his crown.

ReplyDeleteIt has always amazed me that God allows us to choose whether or not to receive a blessing or a curse. He gives us the freedom of life and death and then blesses based on His choice for us. He always chooses life, blessings, victory!
Luke 8:22-23
It's so easy to notice that the disciples fell asleep and were not prepared when the storm came upon them. Perhaps because they too comfortable and each thought that someone else would "handle it" for them. We have a lot of "its" in our lives, and want God to deliver us from them while we sleep. However, Jesus said,"Where is your faith?" We can't be asleep for our faith to be activated. So a word for all of us, Wake UP!!!
Josh Marsh says : I love God because He loves me like no one else can! and even though every one thinks that God just has us doing chores, He's preparing us all for doing something that makes us very very smart. And some people think that God makes us do stuff like, " when you say something you mean it," But He is actually getting you ready to leave things for the next generation to be able to follow God. God is really try to help you and make your life better even though some people don't think so. God is preparing you for something. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteDeut 11:22 For IF YOU-we can choose to obey or disobey at this point-if we obey-then v23 says that the LORD WILL...to the extent that "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours;..." How important obedience is to God! He always lets us choose.
ReplyDeleteIn Luke 8 when Jesus said to them "where is your faith?" I always feel like he is asking me, sort of like a check-up. Okay Wanda,where is YOUR faith?
