Numbers 2-3:51
Mark 11:27-12:17
12: 13 Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. 14 When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?”
John – We should consider that when the people that hated Him came to Him they pretended to want His council and at first used s statement to try to get him to buy into telling them the answer they wanted to hear. This is a tactic of the enemy; tell you a statement that will point you in the incorrect direction he wants you to go. Example: In Genesis the serpent said, “Did God really say you were not to each of this tree?”
Psalm 47:1-9
Proverbs 10:24-25
10 :24 The fear of the wicked will come upon him,
And the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25 When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more,
But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
John – Everyone wants to make a difference, that why people pay to have their names on buildings and other ideas of a legacy, but God allows the righteous as a by-product of His life in them to have an everlasting foundation! WOW!
